Fundraiser Skydive as Advice First Team take to the Skies
This year our team decided to do something slightly outside our comfort zone.
On 17th April, six of us from Advice First Financial are jumping out of a perfectly good aeroplane 🪂to raise funds for Lifestart Services Donegal ❤️.
We work with individuals and families across Donegal every day, so we see firsthand how important strong support can be. That is why we wanted to get behind a local cause that helps parents, supports children and strengthens families at the stage when support can matter most.
Advice First is covering the full cost of the skydive ourselves and apparently now breakfast in Kernan’s Diner in Newtowncunningham 😏☕️. That means 100% of every euro donated through this fundraiser goes directly to Lifestart Services Donegal.

Why we chose Lifestart Donegal
Lifestart Services Donegal is part of The Parenting Organisation Donegal. Their work centres on parenting education, child development support and practical help for families across the county.
Through the Lifestart home-visiting programme, parents receive guidance and support from pregnancy through the early years of a child’s life. Those early years are hugely important. They shape how children grow, learn, communicate and build confidence. When parents are supported well, children benefit too.
Alongside that, the organisation also provides parenting programmes, family support services and practical assistance for families who may be dealing with additional pressures.
In plain English, they help families feel stronger and they help children get the best possible start.
That matters in any county, but it matters especially in Donegal where strong local support can make a real difference.

What the skydive fundraiser is about
The aim of this fundraiser is simple. We want to raise practical support for a local charity doing valuable work with families across Donegal.
Our fundraising target is €1,000. If 100 people gave €10 each, we would reach it. Even €5 or €10 can make a difference when enough people get involved.
The skydive itself may be the attention-grabbing bit, but the real purpose sits firmly on the ground. This is about helping a local organisation continue work that can have a long-term impact on children and parents.
And yes, if nothing else, there is also the satisfaction of knowing you helped push a few financial advisers out of an aeroplane for a very good cause.
